On December 19th I was back at the SCSC. This time I was being trained in suturing techniques (under the expert instruction of Pam). In passing conversation it had previously been mentioned that medical students are known to practice suturing on banana’s, oranges and aubergines (yes really), so Pam and I set to work injuring and fixing some fruit.
Scott talked me through the software basics of the Standard Man and High Definition mannequins, and then… opened the doors to the cupboard containing spares and parts!
I also experimented with the lighting in the Simulation Theatre, using just the over head theatre lights…
I’ll be back at the SCSC in the new year after a trip to Finland. Until then Hei Hei!
